  • (Approved for Michigan ONLY) Michigan, along with many other US States, has been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, the State of Michigan BETP has made the necessary adjustments to facilitate the continuation of EMS operations throughout the State at the highest level possible. These adjustments included time extensions for EMS licensing/re-licensing, as well as other required certifications for EMS providers. In addition, the State allowed certain EMS testing candidates to obtain a temporary State EMS license in order to expand the number of available EMS providers in Michigan during the crisis. In this episode, Terrie Godde, the MDHHS BETP EMS Education Coordinator will provide an overview of what changes were made in this regard and what EMS providers can expect as we progress towards a “new normal”. We will also be joined by Allison Biliti, the MDHHS BETP Southeast Region EMS Coordinator, who will provide her perspective, as well.
